Let's face it. For most of us, the majority of our time is spent indoors. That's why it's so important that our homes are healthy and we're breathing healthy air. We take for granted the air quality of our homes because we don't necessarily consider the air we breathe inside to be a threat to our health. So here's some tips to keep your air clean and your home happy:

1. Pet dander, dirt, and mold can accumulate over time, and your air conditioning system can actually spread these particles throughout your home
every time it kicks on. Consider better quality standard filters, or invest in an electronic air filter system that actually catches most indoor allergins and other microscopic particles.

2. Also adding a variable speed air handler to your comfort system will give you better air filtration, cleaner air and optimum comfort. They are simple to install and last a long time.

3. Keep fireplaces clean and free of debris. Store unused firewood outside to discourage the growth of mold and fungi.

4. Vacuum regularly with a vacuum cleaner that uses a hepa filtration system. This helps to control the
amount of allergy causing
particles in your home.

5. Keep pets brushed and clean. Clean, well-groomed pets shed less and have less pet dander to add to the air.

6. Keep cigarette smoking as an outside activity. If that's not possible, try
confining it to one room.

7. And control moisture by keeping
your air conditioner below 80.

• Keep blinds closed during the hottest parts of the day.
• Change filters every mouth
• Use ceiling fans
• Wear light colored, loose fitting clothing
• Eat smaller, lighter meals more frequently
• Drink Plenty of water
• Have a qualified professional inspect your air conditioner and perform a tune-up
